Join TennGreen and friends from the South Cumberland Regional Land Trust and the Jumpoff Community Land Trust to experience a permanently-protected and forested treasure known as “Mitchell Cove.” This four-mile hike is considered strenuous due to very steep slopes. 

 

Event is FREE for members of TennGreen, SCRLT, and JCLT; $10 for non-members. Directions and parking information will be sent out to registered attendees closer to the event date. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate attire, and consider bringing water and a hiking stick.

The Belle Forest Cave - Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37221

 

The Belle Forest Cave & Arboretum lies on a four-acre property covered primarily by mature forests, featuring an old springhouse leading to an extensive cave populated by bats and three tributaries to the Harpeth River. On this tour, you’ll learn how to identify the many species of trees found in the arboretum. This hike is considered short but moderate due to very steep slopes. 

 

Event is FREE for members of TennGreen; $10 for non-members. Due to limited parking, attendees will meet at Five Guys (7026 Hwy 70 S, Nashville, TN 37221) and we will carpool to our location. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate attire, and consider bringing water and a hiking stick.

Weed Wrangle® at The Belle Forest Cave

The Belle Forest Cave - Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37221

 

Join us and the Garden Club of Nashville as we work together to remove invasive species at the Belle Forest Cave & Arboretum! Please bring any tools you have for pulling weeds (gloves, loppers, shovels, or pickaxe), wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate attire that can get dirty. 

 

Event is FREE for all attendees. Due to limited parking, attendees will meet at Five Guys (7026 Hwy 70 S, Nashville, TN 37221) and we will carpool to our location. 

 
Weed Wrangle®-Nashville, is an annual, one-day, citywide volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines and flowering plants. Weed Wrangle®-Nashville is a Partners for Plants joint habitat restoration program of the Garden Club of America’s Conservation and Horticulture Committees. The Garden Club of Nashville, is a member of The Garden Club of America.
